Stefan Rohdewald is a professor of Eastern and Southern European history at Leipzig University. His research interests include the history of interdependence in Eastern Europe and the Middle East; memory discourses; city history; and the interrelationships between East and West in the history of sports, technology, and knowledge. He also studies transculturality, transconfessionality, transimperiality, and transcoloniality.
