Affiliated doctoral researcher Laurin Herberich

Laurin Herberich studied classical philology and history at Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg. Since October 2022, he has been a researcher in the DFG project "Medieval Maritime Predation: A Database-Supported Analysis of Mediterranean Violence." His research interests include the history of military religious orders (especially the Hospitallers) and the history of the eastern Mediterranean. For his dissertation project, he plans to research the topic of "Maritime Predators in the Eastern Mediterranean."
