Dr. Felicitas Fischer von Weikersthal

Dr Felicitas Fischer von Weikersthal is a historian for Russian/Soviet and Polish history with a special focus on the history of terrorism, of forced labor camps as well as the politics of memory. In her current research she investigates the international arena of terrorist self-presentation and the battle for interpretative authority between terrorists and the state over terrorist acts. As ombudsperson of the RTG she is point of contact for the doctoral candidates as well as their supervisors in cases of conflicts arising from the work on the dissertation. The ombudsperson is independent and mediates between all sides involved and has no influence on the assessment of the dissertation.
