Principle Investigator  Dr. Andreas Brämer

Andreas Brämer is a Jewish Studies specialist. During his many years of work, he has published numerous articles relating to the history of German Jews in the 19th century. His research focuses particularly on Jewish history from an insider's perspective, with a focus on religious-historical developments. He also researches German-Jewish contemporary history after 1945. He is a member of the board of the Scientific Working Group at the Leo Baeck Institute and chairman of the Society for Research into the History of the Jews, as well as being the principal of the Hochschule für Jüdische Studien.
