During her stay at Genoa University’s ‘Dipartimento di Lingue e culture moderne,”, Laura Gärtner gained new experience in both digital methods and discourse analysis. The doctoral school affiliated with the seminar hosts junior researchers in digital humanities, who, among other things, work on cluster methods. The multiple exchanges with her host, Prof. Stefano Vicari, strengthened her understanding of discourse analysis and, more particularly, extremist discourse.
