Principal investigator Prof. Dr. Stefanie Gänger

Stefanie Gänger is a global historian of science, medicine, and the environment in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Her expertise on subjects such as modern environmental anxieties and “tropical medicine,” as well as science and warfare, will allow her to mentor students interested in various aspects of enmity, including the enemization of non-human environments or the confluence of scientific practice and enmity.
